The Sins are meant to tempt us.
They are designed to entice, to tantalize, to be irresistible and beautiful to us. They are the temptation of the immediate, the quick fix, that which makes us feel good right now instead of creating anything long term.
This is why they work.
But Sins also have their own form of righteousness.
For after all, it’s only a sin if you feel it’s wrong.
This is the trick.
This is what makes us feel sinful, naughty and bad.
It’s the notion of guilt, shame, self-consciousness and fear of what others will think or say about us that makes these Sins deadly.
