The first three images came from Abilities Dance Boston's adaptive version of the classic Firebird Ballet. Composer Andrew Choe rewrote the music and founder Ellice Patterson developed the choreography to reflect their mission- to get as close as possible to the same audience experience for all viewers regardless of physical or intellectual abilities. The next three images are of the Wakanda Walker, a piece designed for Ellice Patterson of Abilities Dance Boston. Her company operates at a unique intersection of race, gender and disability art. The textile art for the walker is constructed from donated scarves and salvaged fringe. The right middle image is a vinyl walker cover for Keisha Greaves of Girls Chronically Rock, and the final two images are a wheelchair and cart cover for the pediatrics department at Huntington Hospital. The wheelchair and cart cover are made from car upholstery remnants, and all three designs use repurposed trim. Contact for sales inquiries, rentals, and custom designs.
