Le Flaneur is a Victorian inspired walker re-imagined with modern updates and the comforts of old-world luxury travel. A flaneur was a 19th century gentleman who wandered as a matter of philosophy. For the flaneur, the destination was not as important as the style in which you arrived.
Le Flaneur is built from old aluminum walkers, conduit pipe, serving platters, surplus hardware, repurposed fabrics and leather. It has a GPS unit set to walking mode, a compass to keep its direction true, a gramophone horn that doubles as a hearing aid and megaphone, a padded seat and attached parasol, and cow horns in front for protection.
The idea came to me as I saw rude people honking at walker users in crosswalks.
