The latest interview on Substack is with Joy Murray. In her words, “I’ve used the arts to help navigate life, cope with a long term disability -- to find enchantment and insight…There are so many ways we are told through our lives to conform, to be quiet, and to not stir up trouble. I hope to resist that in my life and to help others resist." Join us if you can or get in touch for the recording link, check out the Substacks, and please spread the word far and wide! I really appreciated this quote and maybe you will too.
"Sure. Sometimes it's hard to believe you've made any positive impact on the world. But it's pretty easy to believe you've made a sock. Look at it. There is is. Put it on. Your foot is warm. Take that, nihilism." This is proven scientifically. When you feel overwhelmed by existential despair, do something. It doesn't have to be big. It just has to be something that is not nothing. Let's stir up some good trouble together. XO Laura
