All through November I am interviewing the artists of Opulent Mobility. As of today, I've met with Bronte Grimm, Patricia Fortlage, Ellen Mansfield, and Priya Ray of DIY Abled. So excited to share their art and their stories with you! These interviews will have ASL interpretation and will go online beginning December 10. Please click the links to find out more about the artists and artists and stay tuned for the exhibit in January! My friend Johanna Siegmann and I know how hard it is for self-employed folks to stay focused, motivated, and upbeat all on our own. We want to start a once a month meet up called Employer Lounge- Brainstorming for Freelancers. Want to join us? Contact me! Any field, any job is fine, as long as you are self-employed and want feedback, ideas, support, and motivation from fellow freelancers. Totally casual. Let's toss some ideas around and keep ourselves afloat! James Baldwin says this so much better than I can.
“The world is held together, really it is held together, by the love and the passion of a very few people. Otherwise of course you can despair. Walk down any street in any city, any afternoon, and look around you. What you've got to remember it that everyone you look at is also you... You could be that monster, and you have to decide, in yourself, not to be.” Let's not give in to that inner monster. Sending so much love, Laura
